There is report about Propecia Finasteride from top U.S. medical groups that the men who are more than 55 years old and taking finasteride may also prevent prostate cancer.
Finasteride is also used for prostate enlargement treatment but this new research suggests that it may also be beneficial in preventing the disease.
The drug is class of called 5-ARIs that inhibit prostate cancer by lowering the level of the hormone dihydrotestosterone, which may increase the possibility of cancer.
Finasteride sold under brand names as Propecia, are also used for men hair loss treatment and enlarged prostate.
